Book Review:
Panama Girl By Ida Freer

This book is about an Embera girl named Surni who is twelve. She lives in an Embera village in Panama and wears a different style of clothes.
In this story, Surni's brother's Tarl (14 years old) is very curious about a city near by(Panama City) and decides to run away from their Embera village to Panama City.

Meanhile, Surni's mother (Ishnu) gets really sick because of her appendix. The healer of their village (Kulin) could not help her because he only knew about herbs. Now, nobody could save young Ishru's life except the doctors in Panama City. Surni decides to bring her mother to Panama to get help. There Surni sees a modern city, which is much different than hers and tries to find her brother.
